Three childhood friends—living in 2 different towns—banded together with meager savings, a love of craft brewing and cider to launch 2 Towns Ciderhouse. This trinity seeks to advance the cider craft industry through mixing both old and new cider techniques and experimentation.


We brew over 151,000 barrels of beer and 9,100 barrels of root beer in our state-of-the-art brewing facility. Our lagers and ales are brewed in small batches, hand-crafted by a team of dedicated workers with only the highest ideals of quality. This pride, along with our brewing process, is what creates our great brews.

We are privately owned and operated by local shareholders, many who have been with us since day one.


Forged in 1995, AleSmith is an artisan microbrewery that specializes in handcrafted ales in a variety of styles. Deeply rooted in the amateur and craft brewing communities, AleSmith ales have continued to garner national and international awards and acclaim, as well as a loyal and rabid following among beer enthusiasts.

Although we are working to revive an oldstyle brand, we are also working hard to be conscious of the importance of being green and being natural.

We use choice malts and high quality hops. It costs more but you’ll agree it’s worth it. We want you to be able to savor the flavor before you taste it.

Ballast Point

Ballast Point Brewing Company is one of San Diego’s Premiere Breweries. We started out modestly as Home Brew Mart in 1992. Powered by a 50 BBL brewhouse, we are now able to satisfy the needs of our growing distribution. Come to both of our breweries and we will gladly give you a tour and allow you to sample our newest selection of beers.

Belching Beaver

Belching Beaver does not brew good beer. We brew truly great beer. Currently, we are crafting 7 distinct beers that range from pale ale to stout, which are sure to please anyone’s tastes. Our first priority is using quality ingredients to create the beer recipes at our microbrewery. When we decided to move forward with the brewery, we told Troy not to worry about how much money we were spending on ingredients. With a name like Belching Beaver, we better have great beer or we would be the biggest joke in town. We contracted our hops before we found a location or even bought equipment. I told Troy that I would throw any beer out and delay opening unless it was perfect. In truth, we had no worries because Troy makes great beer. He did not disappoint! As my wife would say, “It’s fabulous.” Our customers say, “They’re all fabulous.” As Dave would say…well he would sniff out each aroma hop, and then describe the grapefruit flavors, the honey overtones and the crisp clean orange peel that delights the palate. I just say, “Man, great beer!”

Benchmark Brewing

Benchmark Brewing is all about delicious beer, beer that we want to take home and drink. We are not about finding the next huge beer trend, or rare ingredient that can only be sourced in the mountains of Djibouti or the chasms of the Pacific Ocean. We want consistently awesome beer that you can rely on to be the gold standard of the style. Our year round beers are low in alcohol and high in flavor; we often find that it is nice to be able to enjoy a beer or two and keep your wits about you. We also know that there are times when a ten percent beer is just what you need to keep you warm at night; to that end we will celebrate the seasons, months, weeks, or whatever we feel needs celebration with specialty releases that will vary wildly in alcohol content and style. No matter the style or strength all Benchmark Beer will set the standard for its kind.

Blue Moon

Blue Moon is a refreshing, unfiltered wheat ale, brewed and spiced with the perfect combination of orange peel and coriander. Rising Moon is an amber wheat ale brewed with Kieffer lime leaves and a hint of lime peel for a zesty subtle twist

Brew Rebellion

Brew Rebellion is an unusual place. We brew beer in quantities of thirty to fifty gallons at a time. The great thing about this is that we have a tap list that features a revolving, rotating list of six or so beers that are the result of the thought process that Andy, our master brewer, dreams up in collaboration with Brad, our brewery manager and Andy’s partner in crime.

Butcher’s Brewing

Butcher’s Brewing was born out of a love for good beer and good meat. A natural progression and exploration in fermentation, it was the vision of former Knight Salumi Company founder and owner, Rey Knight. An avid home brewer, Rey held many experiments with beer yeasts and bacteria in salami and meat curing, and now he’s unleashing his passion for brewing onto the Southern California craft beer scene.

Always true to the apple, Crispin Hard Ciders naturally fermented in the USA use fresh pressed apple-juice, not from apple juice concentrate, from a premium blend of US West Coast apples, with no added malt, grape wine or spirit alcohol. Crispin’s unique USA produced ciders are smoothed with pure apple juice or from natural sugar sources like organic honey or organic maple syrup, and contain no added colorants, sorbate or benzoate preservatives.

David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.

Together, they have teamed with Brewmaster Kevin Crompton, formerly from Bohemian Brewery. Crompton has been brewing for more than 20 years (since 1994) and has brewed for three Utah breweries and another in Hawaii.

Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies and “Epic” adventure junkies, the three share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything “all out.”

It began innocently enough: a couple of brothers-in-law sitting around debating the subject of good and bad beer. Instead, their search for a decent ale led them to brew their own. Given Mr. Firestone’s winemaking bias and Mr. Walker’s complete lack of fermentation experience, they believed 60-gallon oak barrels were the appropriate vehicle in which to create their perfect elixir.

Mead has existed throughout the ages, throughout the great cultures of the world. The Ethiopian Kings drank it, Beowulf drank it. Aristotle, Arjuna, Shakespeare… they all drank it. And so did your great-great-great-great-fore mommas and papas.

So, what exactly is mead? And how do you get it? Well, mead is an adult beverage, made from honey and water. It connects us to our human history, our place, each other, and it’s delicious. You could brew it from home if you wanted to. But to make it well, to make it delicious, to unlock its mirthful potential, you just have to really love making it.

We really, really love making it, and it shows. Golden Coast Mead’s Mirth in a Bottle is a delicious, balanced, semi-sweet orange blossom honey mead. Iron Fire

At Ironfire, brewing the highest quality ales and lagers is a way of life. The beers we produce are painstakingly modified time and time again until we love the end product. No beer will be allowed to grace your palate until we want to drink a plethora of it ourselves. All killer, no filler.

Karl Strauss

Doors opened on February 2, 1989. At the time, it was the first brewery to open in San Diego in more than 50 years. It all started with 3 delicious beers: Karl Strauss Amber Lager (Karl’s favorite and our current-day flagship), Downtown After Dark Brown Ale, and Gaslamp Gold. For most, it was the first microbrewed beer they had ever tasted.

Knee Deep

In his relatively short brewing history, Jeremy has produced over 40 different beers. Jeremy’s brews have received several awards; most recently our Hoptologist DIPA took the Gold Medal earlier this year at The Bistro 14th Annual DIPA Festival. Jeremy and Knee Deep Brewing Company have a rapidly growing reputation and we are becoming known for our unique blends and creative outlook on brewing. Lagunitas Brewing Co, located in Sonoma County, is turning 14 in style. Just completed is our new 80-barrel brewing system that will allow us to brew consistently delicious beer for years to come. Latitude 33

The Leinenkugel Familybrewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, WI, in May 1867 by Jacob Leinenkugel. A family man driven by an iron work ethic, Jacob knew that his family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the fifth generation of Leinenkugel’s continue to brew the same family inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, the family has grown and so has the brewery, but its history and heritage remain at the forefront.


Our fine hand crafted European style beers have a distinctive “Lightning Finish” with a crisp, clean aroma, pronounced maltiness and a prolonged and slightly bittering finish. Our beers are good to drink on their own, and great with food. We have proven that you don’t need to travel to Europe to enjoy beers of these styles and caliber!

Lost Abbey

Founded in 2006, Port Brewing Company produces a broad line of award-winning American beers as well as the groundbreaking Lost Abbey family of Belgian-inspired ales. Under the direction of co-founder and world-renowned brewer, Tomme Arthur, Port / Lost Abbey has become recognized for complex, flavor-driven beers, often aged and blended after 18 months or longer in oak brandy, bourbon, and wine barrels. In additional to numerous medals, Port Brewing / The Lost Abbey and Tomme Arthur were the 2007 Great American Beer Festival Small Brewery and Small Brewer of the Year, and the 2008 World Beer Cup World Champion Small Brewery and Small Brewer.

Magic Hat

Magic Hat Brewing Company, South Burlington, Vermont: Where ancient alchemy meets modern day science to create the best tasting beer on the planet. The saturnalian saga of the Magic Hat Brewing Company began in 1978 in a Goddard College bathtub, where future brewmaster Bob Johnson first cultivated his maniacally obsessive interest in making “better beer with bigger flavor.” In a moment of supreme serendipity, Fate sent him off to an accidental meeting on a random Burlington street with future Magic Hat president Alan Newman. Before you could pour a pint, a brewery was born.

Twisted Manzanita

Manzanita Brewing Company is a microbrewery in Santee, started by 2 partners Garry Pitman and Jeff Trevaskis following their dreams. Manzanita features 5 styles of beer (Riverwalk Blonde Ale, Rustic Horizon Red Ale, Pale Ale, IPA and Gillespie Brown Ale) produced from a 3 barrel brew house with 6 barrel fermenters.


In 2005, we began our quest to brew handcrafted ales and lagers using the finest ingredients. Our brewpub sources as many local products as possible to ensure the freshness; even the ketchup and mustard is house made! We enjoy putting beer in as many food items as we can to create a unique pub dining experience.Maui Brewing Co. has a strong commitment to the local economy, and deep concern for the environment. We package in the most eco-friendly (and beer friendly) material, the can. Our spent grain is given to local farmers for feed and compost, contributing to local sustainability.Cheers!


Mazama Brewing is a packaging brewery in Corvallis Oregon own and operated by Jeff and Kathy Tobin. They started home brewing in 1984 and knew they had found a passion in their new hobby. Their brewing pursuits included making beer styles that were once very difficult to find in the United States. This finally led to a long delay trip the Belgium in 2011, which provided the inspiration to start Mazama brewing.

After spending nearly 30 years as an electrical engineer, Jeff left the high-tech world to pursue brewing full-time in 2013. He has found that his project management, engineering and science background serves him well as head brewer at Mazama.

Kathy as recently retired as an executive leading a high-tech printing and computing business unit. Her years of experience have helped create a solid foundation for Mazama Brewing’s success.


It’s been a long strange trip from Hopland in 1983. We’ve trekked from a 1983 production of about 400 barrels (5500 case equivalent) to the current production of about 75,000 barrels (over one million cases)…from distribution over the bar in Hopland to nearly nationwide distribution in countless stores, restaurants, bars and tap houses. As we roll into the second decade of a new century, we’ve come from making a handful of ales to the manufacture and distribution our Seasonal Releases, the new Imperial Series, (IPA, Stout & Barleywine) Organic Ale and Lagers (under our Butte Creek Label), our industry jarring Cast-of-Hawk “mix-packs” and an ever-growing number of contracts brewed for other entities (a growing industry trend). Currently, Mendocino Brewing is responsible for the production of well over 20 nationally recognized labels.


Mission Brewery, located in the East Village of Downtown San Diego, next to Petco Park, has been brewing commercially for over six years. With 26 National and International awards under its belt, Mission is considered one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County. Mission is open to the public with a 3000’ tasting room in the historic Wonder Bread building. The Wonder Bread building was built in 1894 and has the architectural bones of the original design with wood work that cannot be duplicated today.

Modern Times

We focus (non-monogamously) on aroma-driven, complex, flavorful, sessionish beers. We often brew hybrid styles, combining the features we like from established categories to create new, Island-Of-Doctor-Moreau-style mash-ups.

The current brewery features a 55-barrel brewing system, with a capacity of 95,000 barrels per year of craft beer to be distributed throughout Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.

The Ninkasi family of beers, known as its Flagship Series, has grown from its first batch of Total Domination IPA to include Tricerahops Double IPA, Believer Double Red, Oatis Oatmeal Stout, Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout, and Quantum Pale Ale. Today, the Ninkasi family of brands includes its Flagship, Seasonal Release, Special Release, Prismatic Lager, Single Hop, and R&D Series.

North Coast

North Coast Brewing Company is a pioneer in the craft beer movement, opened in 1988 as a local brewpub in the historic town of Fort Bragg, located on California’s Mendocino Coast. Under the leadership of brew master Mark Ruedrich, the brewery has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more than 70 awards in national and international competitions.

Oceanside Ale Works

Oceanside Ale Works crafts award-winning ales in the first microbrewery to find its home in beautiful Oceanside, California. Using the freshest hops and finest malted barley, our ales are hand-crafted to exacting standards ensuring a taste experience you are sure to remember. We are located along the North Coast of San Diego County, and right now you can taste our products at many locations in San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties.


Duvel Moortgat USA, Ltd. imports high-quality Belgian beers including Duvel Golden Ale, Maredsous Abbey Ales, Liefmans Oudenaarde, DeKoninck Amber Ale and Achouffe Belgian Ales.

Our reason for being is to build an understanding and appreciation for Belgium’s fine beers, and to import and distribute them for a US market that is increasingly thirsty for better drink. Our portfolio has grown to include ten imported beers that we distribute in over 45 continental US states.
Duvel Moortgat USA is owned by Duvel Moortgat of Belgium, which also owns our sister company Brewery Ommegang. Duvel Moortgat USA and Brewery Ommegang are both headquartered in Cooperstown, New York.

Duvel Moortgat USA is in its 9th year of operation, and Brewery Ommegang has been brewing their fine ales since October 1997.

Rough Draft Brewing Company is the newest brewery to arrive in the San Diego craft beer scene. Located in the Miramar area, Rough Draft has a 15 barrel brewhouse and a tasting room with a 45 foot long bar.

San Diego Brewing Co.

The original manufacturing facility known as San Diego Brewing Company® opened in 1896 with much fanfare. A. E. Horton, the father of San Diego, referred to the Brewery as the most important industrial enterprise since he founded the town. It was the largest manufacturing enterprise in the county.
The brew house held a 25 horse power engine which operated the elevator, barley mill, mash tun and other apparatus. The mash tun could easily give shelter to twenty five men! The brewery’s fermenting cellar was filled with great tanks full of amber fluid, foaming and sparkling. The capacity of the plant was 75,000 barrels.
San Diego Brewing Company® delivered their product to all parts of the city and county in bottles or in barrels. Their beers were said to “sparkle like nectar”. Sadly the company was removed from 32nd Street by the Navy in 1942 and replaced by a base for the Pacific Fleet.
Today the new San Diego Brewing Company® hopes to carry on the tradition that was started so long ago. Along with an assortment of fresh beers brewed on the premises, San Diego Brewing Company® offers up to fifty taps of beer every day, providing a brew to satisfy each and everyone.

San Marcos Brewery

We produce only the finest ‘handcrafted ales’ from our
on-premise micro-brewery & serve each glass fresh from the tap. Our ales include: Two Timing IPA, Red Amber, Golden Premium, Honey Ale and Hefeweizen. Our Old English Ale and Oatmeal Stout are dispensed through a traditional hand pump creating a distinct similarity to an authentic English Ale.


Sapporo, the oldest beer brand in Japan, was first brewed in Sapporo, Japan in 1876 by the German-trained brewer Seibei Nakagawa. From the beginning, Sapporo was a favorite among beer lovers – a crisp, clean taste they appreciated and an advanced brewing process they respected.

Sapporo Premium was brought to the U.S.A in 1964. In 1984, SAPPORO U.S.A., INC. was founded to maintain the high quality and distribution of the brand throughout the country. Thereafter, Sapporo quickly established its status as the #1 selling Asian beer in the United States.

Today, three varieties of the brand (Sapporo Premium, Sapporo Reserve, and Sapporo Premium Light) are enjoyed by beer connoisseurs across the country.

Shock Top

Shock Top is a traditional Belgian-Style wheat ale. It was originally created in 2006 as a seasonal brew under the name Spring Heat Spiced Wheat. After collecting gold in ’06 and bronze in ’07 in the Belgian White category at the North American Beer Awards, we decided to brew year-round and switch the name to Shock Top. We couldn’t be happier with our decision.

Sierra Nevada

We set out with a simple goal: brew the beers we wanted to drink. We started small, with a homebrew shop, a love of American hops and plenty of passion. In the process, we changed the beer world forever. Decades later, we’re still at it, and the passion burns brighter than ever.

Societe Brewing Company is a production brewery with a tasting room located in San Diego, CA. The idea to start Societe came about in October 2010 when Douglas and Travis decided to leave their brewing jobs to create a brewery of their own.

Societe beers, growler fills, kegs, and merchandise are available for purchase onsite.


Founded in 1996, Stone Brewing Co. is located in Escondido, CA and is one of the fastest growing breweries in the country. Additionally, Stone Brewing is one of the highest rated breweries in the world according to both and The Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens is part of the new $13 million Stone Brewing facility, and specializes in creative preparations of locally grown organic produce and natural meats. Thorn Street

The location at 3176 Thorn Street was up until early 2012 a local outlet called Home Brews and Gardens. The shop was loved by local patrons but owner Dennis O’Connor realized that he liked making beer a lot more than he did selling supplies to do so. He teamed up with avid home brewers and fellow San Diego natives Dan Carrico and Eric O’Connor to start the project that would transform the former local home brew shop into Thorn Street Brewery. The renovated space has been transformed into a beautiful tasting room with a 7 barrel brew house in a large open naturally lit back room. Local designer Pat Wilkening (Red Craft Custom Design) has been instrumental in the creative development of the property and has created something truly unique in the neighborhood. It is our sincere hope that our hard work will result in a place that you can truly feel cozy and welcome in.

Wet N’ Reckless

Wet ‘N Reckless Brewing is the smallest and newest nanobrewery in San Diego.

When I say “Our story” what I mean is my story because Wet ‘N Reckless is me.

My name is Dave and I love beer. I love to drink it and I love to make it. I’ve been brewing beer at home for 20 years while working as a Biologist, Software Developer, English teacher, amateur fire breather and marriage officiater (not to mention 4 years as a United States Marine- ooh rah!). Early in 2011, I realized that it was actually possible to make my dream come true and open my own brewery.

So, here I am. One man. One mission. One brewery. I’m keeping my day job so there’s not time for much else besides brewing the beer and serving it, so don’t expect a lot of fancy stuff at the brewery.

My focus is being able to provide delicious and unusual beers. Nothing else is of importance. When you come to the brewery for a beer you may notice that lots of stuff is home made. I can’t afford to spend lots of money on fancy looking stuff. I do everything, including this website, so don’t expect much besides some delicious beer and a quaint little place to drink it. It’s a matter of priorities, and the beer is my main priority. Would you have it any other way?
